WORKING AT HEIGHTS CERTIFICATION VALIDITY EXTENDED FOR SOME, NOT ALL

Recent amendments to Ontario Regulation 297/13 (Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training) outline the validity of Working at Heights training for workers who successfully completed an approved program such as offered at First For Safety through the IHSA. The temporary extension effects only those who received their training between February 28, 2017 and August 31, 2017. The validity period for those who completed training during this time has been extended to four (4) years as opposed to the current three (3) years.
